SHELBY - Mr. Gary Dale Childerss, 66, passed away on Tuesday, November 17, 2015 at Carolinas Healthcare Cleveland. He is predeceased by his parents Ray and Katherine Childress.
He is survived by one son, Sandy Childress (Tracy) of Lawndale; two brothers, Donnie Childress (Patty) of Pilot Mtn., NC, Loui Childress (Peggy) of Charlotte, NC; two sisters, Serena Martin (Junior) of Jonesville, NC and Ashley Nelson (Jimmy) of Winnabow, NC; two granddaughters, Amy Bryant of Fort Hood, TX and Kayla Childress of Lawndale; one grandson, Justin Childress and one great-granddaughter both of Lawndale.
Gary enjoyed working on interior of autos, classic street rods and was formerly owner of his own upholstery shop in Reidsville, NC. He loved to restore the classics.
A 2:00 p.m. memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 21, 2015 at Central Full Gospel Church, 503 Drywall Road, State Road, NC with Pastor Bobby Norman officiating. The family will receive friends after the service.
