Mr. Gary Lee Wilson, age 69, of Mooresboro, NC, passed away June 11, 2014 at his residence.  Graveside services will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday, June 13, 2014 at Cleveland Memorial Park conducted by the Rev. Buddy Moorehead.  A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the Cemetery.

  He is survived by two daughters, Kimberly Bailey and husband Doug of Mooresboro, NC and Beverly Whisnant and husband Bobby of Mooresboro, NC, five grandchildren, Ashley Truelove and husband Tucker of Mooresboro, NC, Garrett Whisnant of Mooresboro, NC, Kelsey Bailey of Mooresboro, NC, Alec Whisnant of Mooresboro, NC, and Heather Bailey of Mooresboro, NC, a special great grandson, Tanner Lee Truelove, two brothers, Donnie Wilson and wife Wanda of Rutherfordton, NC and Mike Wilson and wife Donna of Rutherfordton, NC and a sister, Sandra Baynard of Union Mills, NC, a sister-in-law, and Viva Wilson of Rutherfordton, NC.

  Born October 15, 1944 in Rutherford County, Mr. Wilson was the son of the late John and Augustine (Walker) Wilson and was preceded in death by his wife, Lavonda Gail (Newton) Wilson, a sister, Patricia Wilson and a brother Jeff Wilson, and a brother-in-law, Dazel Baynard.  Mr. Wilson in his early years was self-employed selling cars and doing auto body repair.  He later went into construction in Charlotte, NC.  His work was his hobby.  He loved going to car auctions, buying and selling cars.  Gary enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
