Mrs. Gay Hoover Miller, 67, of Vale, passed away Monday, August 17, 2015 at
Carolinas Healthcare System - Pineville.

Born March 3, 1948 in Lincoln County, she was a daughter of the late
Bernice Harold Hoover and Bobbie Warren Hoover. Gay was President of
Piedmont Transportation of Vale. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church
and attended Hulls Grove Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Teddy
Deveney and sister-in-law, Kathryn Leonhardt.

Survivors include her husband of 49 years, John S. Miller; son, Mark Miller
and wife, Christy of Vale; two daughters, Lisa Deveney of Vale and Johnna
Baxter and husband, Steven of Vale; five grandchildren, Kelsey, Seth,
Allison, Jenna and Brandon; two brothers, Billy Hoover and wife, Soni and
Robb Hoover both of Charlotte; two sisters, Barbara Pope and husband, Jim
and Cathy Hoover both of Vale; brother-in-law, Don Leonhardt of Vale; and
many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be 4:00 PM, Wednesday at Hulls Grove Baptist Church
with Rev. Travis Elmore and Rev. Marcus Redding officiating.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
