Gene Harold Seagle, 82, of 132-1 Gantt Rd. in Vale, passed away August 15,
2013 at Hospice at Wendover.
Born July 18, 1931 in Cleveland County, he was a son of the late Robert
Perry Seagle and Effie Doshie Bell Costner Seagle. He was retired from Lutz
Apple Orchard and Cleveland County Recycling Center. Gene was a member of
Carpenter's Grove Baptist Church and a lifetime member of the Upper
Cleveland Rescue Squad.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ola Mae
Jones Seagle, brothers, Odell, Owen, Leslie, Edwin, Iveson and Clyde Seagle
and sisters, Vangie King and Corine Paysour.
Survivors include two daughters, Gina Seagle of Vale and Randy Martin of
Toluca, one sister, Lou Ella Hoyle of Casar, four grandchildren, Julia
Rivera, Jessica Seagle, Joshua Hoyle, and Joey Seagle; three great
grandchildren, Kendal Martin, Victoria and David Rivera; and a special
nephew, Perry Seagle.
Visitation : 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, Monday at Carpenter's Grove Baptist Church
Funeral service: 3:00 PM, Monday at Carpenter's Grove Baptist Church
Officiating: Revs. Bobby Holtsclaw and Jerry Welch
Burial will be private
