George Lewis Holder, 95, of 905 Airport Road, Shelby passed away
Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at Hospice at Wendover in Shelby.

Born May 27, 1919 in Mecklenburg County, he was a son of the late Fred
Eugene Holder and Ina Sumatree Honeycutt Holder.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Violet Mae
Brooks Holder; sister, Helen Bryant and two brothers, Earl Holder and Jimmy
Holder.

Mr. Holder is survived by a sister, Sara Jean Whitaker of Spartanburg, SC;
two special nieces, Beverly Terry and husband, Cicero of Shelby and Jill
Fisher and husband, Joe of Virginia Beach, VA; other numerous nieces and
nephews; friends at Cypress Glenn Apartments and the staff at Hospice at
Wendover.

Graveside Service: 11:00 AM, Saturday at Olney Church Cemetery, Gastonia

Officiating: Mr. Chuck Rinehart
