Geraldine Peterson Bell Goodson, 88, passed away Friday, April 5th, 2024, at Cherokee Medical Center.

Geraldine was preceded in death by her husband James "Shorty" Bell and husband Jerry Goodson, brother Albert "Cooter" Peterson, and her parents Albert Lee Peterson, Sr., and Elsie Batchler Peterson.

Geraldine was a member of Broad River Baptist Church, her passion was working in her yard and garden, listening to music, going out weekly with her friends to eat dinner, loved talking nightly on the phone with her family and friends. As a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, friend to many, she will be sorely missed.

Geraldine leaves behind son Scott Bell, daughter Sandy Bell, grandchildren Kara Mullinex and husband Ricky, Ryan Bell, James Bell, and Victoria Bell, great-grandchildren Aryana, and Aurora, and her loving sister Louise Lanier. She also leaves behind many friends who have cherished her years of friendship and laughter, and her fur companion "Blondie."

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 9, 2024, from 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm at Broad River Baptist Church. Funeral services will immediately follow, at 2:00 pm with Rev. Danny Meetze officiating. Interment will be at Clingman Memorial Gardens.
