Geraldine W. Peeler, 83, of 310 Hopewell Road, Blacksburg, SC, went home to be with the Lord February 28, 2014, at Gaffney Medical Center, Gaffney, SC. Born in Cleveland County, NC, she was the wife of the late Doyle H. Peeler and a daughter of the late O. M. and Elsie Wood Walker. She was retired from the textile industry and worked at the Blacksburg Senior Center for a period of time. She was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church.
She is survived by three brothers - Ralph Walker and Abraham Walker both of Blacksburg, SC, and David Walker of Gaffney, SC; and two sisters - Alma Lee Vann of Florida and Nancy Adams of Grover, NC. In addition to her beloved husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Doyle Lynn Peeler; brothers Manson, John, Joseph, Ronald and Paul Walker; and a sister, Annie Sapoch.
A Celebration Of Life Service will be held Monday, March 3, 2014, 2:00 PM, graveside at Hopewell Baptist Church with Rev. Eddie Bolin officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. At other times, they will be at their respective homes.
