Ms. Gertie Byers Tesseneer, 71, of 2122 Stage Coach Trail, Polkville, NC, passed away Monday, June 14, 2010. Services were held at The A.C. McKinney Memorial Chapel. Burial followed in Gantt’s Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
She was preceded in death by her parents, T.P. and Willie Mae Beaver Tesseneer; and 1 brother, Wendell Byers.
She is survived by 2 sons, Johnny Michael Tesseneer and wife Michal of Polkville, and Timmy Tesseneer and wife Sheila of Rutherfordton; 2 daughters, Julie McMurry and husband James, Jr. of Polkville, and Cindy Stroupe and husband Tom of Cherryville; 1 brother, Wayne Byers of Ellenboro; 5 sisters, Brenda Carter, Rita Walker, Kay Wilson, and Louann Bennett, all of Ellenboro, and Connie Lavender of Florida; 8 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren.
