Mrs. Gertrude C. Gore, 99, resident of Rolla, MO, (formerly of Kings Mountain, NC) passed away Tuesday, December 21, 2010. Services were held at Ollie Harris Memorial Chapel, Kings Mtn., NC. Burial followed in Mountain Rest Cemetery, Kings Mtn., NC.
Mrs. Gore was preceded in death by her husband, William Partee Gore; her parents, William Henry and Effie Mullis Caldwell; a daughter, Janice Midkiff; and siblings, Hunter Caldwell, Dewey Caldwell, Bess (Mrs. George) Adams, Ada (Mrs. Jess) Jenkins, Millard Caldwell, Flora (Mrs. Lester) Welch, and Ruby (Mrs. Tom) Smith.
She is survived by 1 son, Philip Gore and wife Helen of Lenoir City, TN; 1 daughter, Jean Hickle and husband John of Rolla, MO; 3 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
