| Gladys McGinnis Hall, 90, passed away on Monday, June 10, 2013 at Cleveland Pines Nursing Center. Born in Cleveland County, she was the daughter of the late Hatcher and Mozelle Queen McGinnis. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James Morgan Hall; infant son, James Morgan Hall; brother, Rev. Edwin McGinnis. Gladys was a member of Elizabeth Baptist Church where she was a member of the Love-Joy Sunday School class. She loved to travel, spend time with her family, especially her grandkids and her special pet “Lucy”.
Mrs. Hall is survived by her son, Larry Hall and wife Donna of Hickory; daughter, Kathy Hall Brooks and husband Larry of Shelby; sisters, Sarah Owens of Ellenboro and Maryann Bridges and husband Dave of Warner Robbins, GA; brother, Donald McGinnis and wife Glenda of Lincolnton; grandchildren, Justin Morgan Hall, George Andrew Hall and James Michael Hall; great grandchildren; Noah Deacon Hall, Landon Hendricks, Julia Elaine Hall, Cameron James Hall, Jada Grace Hall, Abby Faith Hall.
A celebration of life service will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday, June 12, 2013 at Elizabeth Baptist Church. Dr. Rit Varriale and Rev. Jeff Brendle will be officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 – 11:00am prior to the service in the church sanctuary.
