Mrs. Gladys Ray Causby Davis, age 91 of Shelby, passed away Friday, February 5, 2016 at Wendover Hospice House surrounded by her family.
She is survived by three children, Loretta Humphries and husband Charlie of Cherryville, NC, Floyd Davis of Shelby, NC, and Meritta Blanton and husband Don of Ellenboro, NC, ten grandchildren, twenty one great grandchildren, fourteen great great grandchildren, and a sister, Dorothy Davis and husband Clifford of Shelby, NC.
Born September 11, 1924 in Rutherford County, Mrs. Davis was the daughter of the late David and Mary (Bailey) Causby and was preceded in death by her husband, Leo Gordon Davis and a grandson, Randy Scott Davis, Sr.
Mrs. Davis was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church. She worked for Ester Mills as a Unifill Tender. Mrs. Davis enjoyed cooking, crocheting, quilting, gardening, and spending time with her family and friends.
A visitation will be held from 6:00 - 8:00 pm Saturday, February 6, 2016 at Cleveland Funeral Services Chapel. Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Sunday, February 7, 2016 at Cleveland Funeral Services Chapel conducted by Rev. Eugene Bumgardner. Burial will follow at Sunset Cemetery.
