Gladys Sides Stover, age 94, died Sunday, December 11, 2016 at Brookdale Assisted Living in Rutherfordton. Born in Concord on March 30, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Arthur Lee and Nellie Pearl Troutman Sides. She was a member of Hoyle United Methodist Church. Gladys retired from Doran Mill and previously Cleveland Cloth Mill as a draw end operator. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd G. Stover; a brother, Robert Sides; and a daughter, Connie Mauney.

Gladys is survived by two grandchildren, Karol Mauney Keziah of Shelby and Tim Mauney of Pawley Island SC; two great grandchildren, Kellie Homovich of Dallas and Christopher Mauney of Ft. Lewis, Washington; and a great-great granddaughter, Baylee Homovich.

Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at Sunset Cemetery. The family will receive friends an hour before the service at the cemetery.
