Glen “Doc” Pearson
Glen “Doc” Pearson, 85, High Shoals Church Road, Mooresboro, died on Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at SECU Hospice House of Rutherford County. A native of Rutherford Coutny, he was born on August 20, 1928, a son of the late Newel Pearson and Ola Womack Pearson. He retired from Cone Mills Corporation - Haynes Plant. He was of the Baptist faith and loved NASCAR and the Atlanta Braves Baseball.
                                   
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his loving wife, Bertie Cannon Pearson; one brother, Jimmy Pearson; three sisters, Mary Alice Stacey, Ethel Helton and Annie Mae Bridges. He is survived by his brother, George Pearson and wife Alice of Ellenboro; his in-laws, Beatrice Cannon Pace, Marie Cannon Phillips, Garland and Helen Cannon Byers, and Gene and Rosie Cannon White, all of Forest City; his caregivers and nephew and niece, Russell and Susan Byers Williams; Doc and Bertie’s beloved Russ and his family, Danielle, Carleigh, and Brayden Williams; many other loving nephews and nieces, and a dear friend, Alan Grant.
 
A Celebration of Mr. Pearson’s Life will be held at the graveside on Friday, August 15, 2014 at Rutherford County Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the cemetery.
