Gloria Doppel Pasco

Gloria Doppel Pasco age 91, died Wednesday January 7, 2015 at Hospice Wendover. Born in Muskegon, Michigan she was the daughter of the late John and Rica Sikkenga Doppel. She was a member of St. Mary Help of Christian Catholic Church. She previously live in Baldwin Michigan and Fort Myers, Florida. She was an avid crossword puzzle solver until macular degeneration prevented her sight. Former team member of Eucharistic ministry to the homebound. Gloria cherished her grandchildren and truly enjoyed her great grandchildren, by whom she was known as “G.G.” She delighted in this past Christmas when the family was celebrating. She spent two months the summer of 2014 in Michigan with her daughter and her family enjoying the lake and resting. Her health declined this past fall, and the hardest obstacle was not being able to read books and do crossword puzzles. The family wishes to thank Mr. and Mrs. Marc Preston for their love and support, Lucille Marable of Helping Hands for her care, Shelby Family Practice and the wonderful caring and dedicated Hospice Staff, Doctors and Nurses. In addition to her parents, Gloria is preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Paul Herbert Pasco Sr.; two sisters, Ruth Smith and Helen Burke.

 

Gloria is survived by her son, Paul H. Pasco Jr. and wife Dianne of Shelby; a daughter, Ann Deemer and husband David of Linden Michigan; a brother, George Doppel and wife Theresa of Muskegon, Michigan; seven grandchildren, Paul Pasco III and wife Anne of Huntley IL, Anna Pasco Lineberger and husband Jason, Brent Pasco and wife Stacie all of Shelby, Kenneth Kirt Jr. of Linden Michigan, Brad Kirt and wife Wendy of Grand Blanc Michigan, Kristen Kirt Schaedig and husband  Erik of Ann Arbor Michigan and Teri Deemer Mondeau and husband Darrell of Grand Blanc Michigan; eleven great grandchildren, Jordan Pasco, Galaxy Lineberger, Miles Lineberger, Paul Davis Pasco, Harper Lineberger, Teagan Mondeau, Carly Pasco, Aurelia Schaedig, Sydney Kirt, Duncan Mondeau, and Henry Schaedig; 16 nieces and nephews and numerous great nieces and nephews.

 

Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, January 16, 2015 at St. Mary Help of Christians Parish with Father Michael Kotter as the Parish Priest. Rosary will be held on Thursday, January 15, 2015 at 5:00 pm at Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home and Crematory the visitation will follow at 5:30 pm until 7:00 pm.
