Gloria Williams Bland was born in 1933, to her parents Annie Summers Williams, and RG Williams. Gloria was the wife to the late James Wilmer Bland. As a seamstress, she worked in the textile industry of Rutherford County, and enjoyed attending church services at Mount Vernon Baptist Church. On February 21^st 2018, at the age of 84, she went home to be with her Lord, leaving behind her daughter Patsy (Tommy) Freeman of Forest City, NC; grandchildren Howard Harton, Katy Harton, Trevor Freeman, and Leigh Ann Freeman; sister Wyamon Price of Charlotte, NC; Services will be held on February 25^th at Mount Vernon Baptist Church at 2:00PM with Dr. Courtney and Rev. Richard Bass officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
