Mr. Grady Chapman, 63, of 3315 Plateau Road, Newton, NC, passed away Saturday, December 4, 2010. Services were held at Stamey Funeral Home, Fallston, NC. Burial followed in Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery, Lawndale, NC.
Mr. Chapman was preceded in death by his parents, Dennis Belo Chapman and Pearl Geneva Hull Chapman; and 5 brothers, Donald, James, Gerald, Lloyd and Ira Chapman.
He is survived by 1 daughter, Mechelle Sigmon and husband Jody of Vale, NC; 2 granddaughters; 5 brothers, Evoid Chapman of Marshall, Claude Chapman of Lincolnton, Charles Chapman, Junior Chapman, and Carol Chapman, all of Newton; and 7 sisters, Selma Moore and Daisy Bolick, both of Lawndale, Vangie Grigg of Hickory, Marlene Chapman and Ruth Whisnant, both of Newton, Madelene Dellinger of Clarksville, TN, and Patsy Perry of Jasper. AL.
