Grants now available for Cleveland County nonprofits

The Cleveland County Community Foundation is currently accepting applications from eligible Cleveland County 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations, congregations, governmental and educational institutions for its 2018 grant cycle. The grant cycle opens June 4 and closes June 29, 2018.
In 2017, Cleveland County Community Foundation awarded $17,500 in grants to 12 nonprofits benefiting residents of Cleveland County. The most common grant was $1,000. In 2016, Cleveland County Community Foundation awarded $12,400 in grants to 8 organizations.
With considerable additional funding available in 2018, the board will consider awarding one $5,000 impact grant to the most compelling and competitive application. Proposals for the impact award are encouraged to identify additional funding sources and partnerships with other organizations.
Grants will be awarded to benefit a broad range of charitable purposes. Priority will be given to requests for projects and programs that address human services: basic needs for food, shelter and clothing. Priority will also be given to requests that address education: especially projects and programs that focus on financial literacy, youth mentoring programs, and character development. Additional information and guidance is available online.
To apply, grant seekers are invited to visit the Online Grants Center at fftcgrants.communityforce.com and search for Cleveland County Community Foundation to access the online application.
Completed applications must be submitted online by noon on Friday, June 29, 2018. The system closes promptly at 12 p.m. and will not accept late submissions.
Contact Bridgette Todd with further questions about the application process at 704.973.4520 or btodd@fftc.org.
