Mr. Gregory "Greg" Scott Jones, age 55 of Shelby NC, passed away Saturday, June 13, 2015 at his residence. Funeral services will be held 12:00 pm Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at Faith Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Johnny Owens and Rocky Shelton. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the Church. Burial will follow at Cleveland Memorial Park.

He is survived by his wife of 13 years, Tammy Owens Jones of the home, nine children, Jessica Jones, Jill Jones, Meghan Franks, Cassie Jones, Jakob Jones, Sam Jones, Wil Jones, Luke Jones, and Taryne Jones, six grandchildren, one great grandchild, two brothers, Jeff Jones and wife Debbie of Forest City, NC, and Vic Jones and wife Lisa of Shelby, NC, and a sister, Tina Carson and husband Jerome of Shelby, NC.

Born May 3, 1960 in Rutherford County, Mr. Jones was the son of Joyce McGinnis Heavner and the late Roger Allan Jones. Greg enjoyed fishing, watching westerns, and spending time with his family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of Cleveland County, 951 Wendover Heights Drive, Shelby, NC 28152.
