He is survived by four sons - Tim Patterson and wife, Ernie, of Knoxville, TN; Mark Patterson and wife, Penny, of Blacksburg, SC; Eric Patterson and wife, Beverly, of Fuquay Varina, NC; and Bryan Patterson and wife, Karen, of Blacksburg, SC. Ten Grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Three brothers - Kenneth Patterson, Jerry Patterson and Ronnie Patterson all of Blacksburg, SC; and two sisters - Jenny Armstrong of Chesnee, SC; and Nancy Rogers of Blacksburg, SC. In addition to his wife and parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers - Ralph Patterson and Steve Patterson.
The family will receive friends Saturday, June 16, 2012, from 1:00 PM - 2:45 PM at Hopewell Baptist Church. A Celebration of Life Service will begin at 3:00 PM, with Revs. Tim Knotts and Eddie Bolin officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. At other times, the family will be at the home.
Grandsons will serve at pallbearers.
