Harold Eugene Pruett, 85, of 5246 Polkville Road, Lawndale, passed away on
Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at Carolinas HealthCare System - Cleveland in
Shelby.

Born July 16, 1930 in Cleveland County, he was a son of the late Amos Andy
Pruett and Mary Elizabeth Long Pruett. He was retired from Clevemont Mills
and was a lifetime farmer. Mr. Pruett was a member of Polkville United
Methodist Church and served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Jo
Willis Pruett; two brothers, Donald and Gerald Pruett and two sisters,
Corene Propst and Aileen McNeely.

Survivors include a daughter, Linda Brackett of Shelby; two sons, Tom Pruett
and wife, Debbie of Raleigh and Andy Pruett and wife, Belinda of Apex; five
grandchildren, Adriane Brackett Marino and husband, Billy, Jordan Brackett,
Jackson Pruett, Jacob Pruett and Katelyn Pruett; a great-granddaughter, Ava
Grace Marino; and sister, Mildred Price of Petersburg, VA.

Visitation will be 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, Friday at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral

A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM, Friday at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral
Home Chapel with Pastor John Justice officiating.

Burial will follow in Mt. Harmony United Methodist Church Cemetery.
