Harold McGee Eaker, 77, passed away Friday, February 10, 2023 at Wendover Hospice House in Shelby.

Born in Cleveland County on February 11, 1945 he was the son of the late Mattie Humphries Eaker and Hermon Eaker. In addition to his parents, Harold is preceded in death by his sister Nancy Fitch. Harold retired as a Sargent from the Department of Corrections and was a member of Zion Baptist Church.

Harold is survived by his wife of 58 years Patricia Bowen Eaker and their two sons Stephen (Angela) Eaker and Stuart Eaker, as well as, his sister Sara Eaker.

A funeral service will be held 2:00PM Tuesday, February 14, 2023 in the Chapel of Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home with Rev. Rit Varriale officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1:00PM -2:00PM. Burial will follow the service at Cleveland Memorial Park with military honors.
