Harold Reece Scoggins
Harold Reece Scoggins, 74, of Bugger Hollow Road, Ellenboro, died on Sunday, November 16, 2014 at Hospice of Cleveland County at Wendover. A native of Rutherford County, he was born on July 04, 1940, a son of the late Samuel Jefferson Scoggins and Ruby Walker Scoggins. He was a member of Fairview Missionary Methodist Church and an avid musician and songwriter, and loving grandfather.
 
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Ronnie Scoggins; his siblings, Bobby, Paul, Fred Clarence, Rosa Mae, Hollie, Dorcas, Virginia, Jay, Bruce, Pauline, Jack, and Buford. He is survived by his wife, Linda Watson Scoggins; one son, Billy Scoggins and wife Joyce of Cliffside; one daughter, Dawn Stover and husband Tom of Ellenboro; one daughter-in-law, Teresa Scoggins Greene; two brothers, Marvin Scoggins and Grover “Sonny” Scoggins; four systers, Lucille Hutchins, Lucy Melton, Wanda Lane, and Vivian Payne; his grandchildren, Adam Scoggins, Joseph Scoggins, Crystal Stover, Sarah Stover, Jessie Scoggins, Jacob Scoggins, Tommy Stover, Devin Scoggins and Jarett Scoggins; 7 great grandchildren.
 
A Celebration of Mr. Scoggins’s Life Service will be held at 2:00pm on Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at The A.C. McKinney Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Troy Dorsey officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
