Harrill Everette Hamrick

SHELBY - Harrill Everette Hamrick, 88, of Shelby, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 4, 2016, at CHS-Cleveland.
Born March 27, 1928, in Cleveland County, he was the son of the late Charles Wakefield and Hester Hill Hamrick. Harrill grew up farming and working in the family dairy business. He was an avid church-goer with a deep faith in God and deep love for his family. His work ethic was prevalent through his co-ownership of Shelby Farm and Garden.
In addition to his parents, Harrill is preceded in death by an older brother, John Berry Hamrick, a twin brother, Carroll Henderson Hamrick, and sister, Evelyn Sue White and her husband Bob.
Harrill is survived by his wife of 68 years, Beth Hamrick; daughter Jane Brooks and husband Ben, son John Wake Hamrick and wife Gailya, and daughter Anne Butler and husband Doug; brother Wakefield Hamrick and wife Amelia of Lexington, and two sisters-in-law Delores "Snookie" Hamrick and Carolyn Hamrick. Harrill was also the loving PawPaw to seven grandchildren: Bill Brooks and wife Libby, Beth (Brooks) Scism and husband Marty, Amy (Hamrick) Goodrum and husband Dustin, Anna (Hamrick) Hunt and husband Jesse, Maggie (Butler) Marty and husband Trent, Adam Hamrick and wife Nicole, and Gina (Butler) Leon and husband Drew, and nine great grand children.
The family will receive friends at 1:00PM,Thursday September 8th at Cleveland Funeral Services with service to follow at 2:00PM in the chapel of Cleveland Funeral Services. Burial will follow at Cleveland Memorial Park. Memorials can be made to the charity of the donor's choice. Cleveland Funeral Services is serving the family.
