Hattie Lelar Johnson Brady, 93, of 106 Delaware Drive in Shelby passed away Wednesday July 31, 2013 at Shelby Manor.
Born in Cleveland County June 16, 1920, she was a daughter of the late Lemmie Zero Johnson and Hester Elizabeth Owens Johnson. She was retired from Fallston School in the lunchroom and was a member of Friendship United
Methodist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Manuel Earl Brady, three sisters, Bessie Huntsinger, Mary Lee Johnson, & Verlene Russ, and one grandson, Jeffery Shawn Bumgardner.
Survivors include two sons, Roger D. Brady and wife, Kay and Michael E. Brady all of Shelby, two daughters, Judy B. Bumgardner and husband, Jerry of Polkville and Teresa B. McFarland and husband, Pete of Casar, eight grandchildren, Nicki Bumgardner, Brad Bumgardner, Mandy Best, Kelli Childers, Rodney Brady, Angela Biggerstaff, Tina Culbertson, and Towana Sisk, and fourteen great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Thursday from 6:00PM until 8:00PM at Stamey Funeral Home in Fallston.
The funeral service will be Friday at 11:00AM at Stamey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Max Pendleton officiating.
Burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park.
