Hattie McSwain McMurry, 77 of E. Sanders Road, Shelby passed away, Sunday,
August 27, 2017 at her residence.

Born June 28, 1940 in Cleveland County, she was a daughter of the late
Willie James McSwain and Lila Mae Causby McSwain. She was retired from
Cleveland Cloth Mill and was a member of Blessed Way Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Carol
Jones McMurry.

Survivors include a brother, Dale McSwain and wife, Wanda of Shelby; two
sisters, Shirley Bridges and husband, Jerry of Shelby and Ruby Ward of Casar
and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Tuesday, August 29, 2017 from 6 PM until 8 PM at
Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home.

A funeral service will be Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Blessed
Way Baptist Church with Rev. Tommy Cook officiating. The body will lie in
state thirty minutes prior to the service.

Burial will follow in Wallace Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
