Hazel Ann Rabb Jones Abernathy, 76, of Ferry Road, Mooresboro, died on Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at SECU Hospice House of Rutherford County. A native of Rutherford County, she was born on June 06, 1938, a son of the late Jim Rabb and Mildred Rabb. She was retired from the Textile Industry and was a Beautician. She was also a member of Goode’s Creek Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband, George “C.A.” Jones and her second husband, Alex Abernathy. She is survived by her son, Michael Jones and fiancee Wendy Jamison of Mooresboro; one brother, Roger Rabb and wife Beverly of Forest City; one sister, Diane Duncan of Henrietta; one granddaughter, Haley Rothbrock.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, December 27, 2014 at Goode’s Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Chad Hayes and Tony Clements officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1:00pm-2:00pm at the church.
