Hazel J. Ford Martin, 81, of 1952 Martin Road in Hickory Grove, SC, passed away Sunday, September 18th, 2011 at White Oak Manor of York.
Born in Kings Mountain, Mrs. Martin was the wife of Grady Martin of the home and the daughter of the late William Ford and the late Lillie Mae Davis Ford. She worked as an inspector in the textile industry and was a member of Broad River Baptist Church in Smyrna, SC .
Mrs. Martin is survived by her husband Grady of the home; two sons, Ronnie S. Martin and wife Linda of York and Randall B Martin of Hickory Grove; one daughter, Teresa Martin of Hickory Grove; two sisters, Betty Hollifield of Blacksburg, and Shirley Hawkins of Kings Mountain, NC; and five grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Wade Ford, Rob Ford, Charles (Rocky) Ford and two sisters, Roberta Whitaker and Louise Short
The family will receive friends Tuesday, September 20th, 2011 from 2:00pm - 4:00pm at Broad River Baptist Church of Smyrna prior to the funeral service. Funeral services will follow at 4:00pm at Broad River Baptist Church of Smyrna with Rev. Rick Fuller and Rev Harry Bryant officiating. Interment will follow at Broad River Baptist Church of Smyrna Cemetery.
The family will be at the residence.
