| Hazel Painter Jones, 83, of the State Line Community, died on Saturday, August 24, 2013 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. A native of Spartanburg County, South Carolina, she was born on December 24, 1929, a daughter of the late Romeo and Lonie Parris Painter. She retired from Arrow Automotive. Mrs. Jones was also an active member of State Line Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one sister, Betty Hamett. She is survived by her husband, Hoyle Jones; one daughter, Brenda J. Walker and husband Linnie of the State Line Community; two brothers, Roy Painter of Gaffney and Ronnie Painter of Chesnee; two grandchildren, Stephanie Towe and husband Ted and Shane Walker; her great grandchildren, Hannah Towe, Matthew Towe, Ila Grace Towe, and Baylee Walker.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00pm on Tuesday, August 27, 2013 at State Line Baptist Church with the Rev. Kris Showen and Rev. Ray Heffner officiating. Burial will follow in the State Line Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service in the sanctuary and at other times at the home.
