Mrs. Hazel Peace Morgan, 87, of 108 Lowe Street passed away
Saturday, July 2, 2011 at Hospice at Wendover.
Born in Spartanburg County, SC, she was a daughter of the late William
Thomas and Bessie Morris Peace. Mrs. Morgan was a homemaker and a member of
Eastside Baptist Church in Shelby.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, J. B.
Morgan; brother, Thomas Luther Peace and sister, Gaynell Scruggs.
Mrs. Morgan is survived by four sons and three daughters-in-law, Dennis and
Mary Morgan of Lawndale, Randy Morgan of Casar, Mark and Pam Morgan of
Shelby and Brian and Debbie Morgan of Casar; daughter and son-in-law, Kathy
and Mike Smart of Bostic; three brothers, Caldwell Peace of Waco, Calvin
Peace of Polkville and Michel Peace of Shelby; three sisters, Joyce Parker
of Shelby, Patsy White of Patterson Springs and June Washburn of Shelby; six
grandchildren and their spouses, Dana and Scott Church of Lawndale, Valerie
and Jason Woodring of Lawndale, David and Kristin Morgan of Mooresville,
Dennis II and Sandy Morgan of Shelby, Dany Morgan of Mooresville and
Stefanie Loveday of Cherryville and twelve great grandchildren.
Visitation: The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM
Tuesday at Stamey Funeral Home in Fallston. A guest register is available
at www.stameyfuneralhome.com.
Funeral: The service will be at 3:00 PM Wednesday at Eastside Baptist
Church in Shelby with Rev. Leland A. Kerr officiating. Burial will follow
at Cleveland Memorial Park in Boiling Springs. The body will be placed in
the church thirty minutes prior to the service.

Road, Shelby, NC 28150.
