Helen Louise Woods, age 87 of Mooresboro, passed away Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at Wendover Hospice House.
She is survived by her family, Inus Kitts of Mooresboro, NC, Bill and Hermalene Kitts of Knoxville, TN, Ray and Jean Kitts of Knoxville, TN, Mike and Amy Kitts of Campobello, SC, Alicia Fortenberry of Mooresboro, NC, Brian and Rebecca Faulkner of Heiskell, TN, Shane Kitts of Knoxville, TN, Michael and Mallori Owens of Shelby, NC, Sam and Kayla Kitts of Campobello, SC, Emily Fortenberry of Mooresboro, NC, Jacob Fortenberry of Mooresboro, NC, Madisyn Owens of Shelby, NC, and Gracie Kate Kitts of Campobello, SC.
Born November 1, 1928 in Union County, Ms. Woods was the daughter of the late Charles Esco Woods and Verdie (Kitts) Woods.
Helen enjoyed working in the yard, cooking, and spending time with her family and friends.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Friday, January 29, 2016 at Cleveland Funeral Services Chapel conducted by Rev. Robbie Hensley. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be at Pleasant View Cemetery in Maynardville, TN at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Goodes Grove Baptist Church Building Fund, 810 Goodes Grove Church Road, Mooresboro, NC 28114.
