Helen Lutz Bradshaw
Helen Lutz Bradshaw, 82, of 6132 Old Shelby Rd, Vale, passed away Saturday, November 2, 2013 at Lutheran Home in Hickory.

She was born in Catawba County on December 1, 1930, to the late Charles Bain Lutz and Zenie Asherbraner Lutz.  Mrs. Bradshaw retired from George Hildebran Elementary School after thirty five years of teaching fourth and fifth grades.  She was a member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church, their United Methodist Women also held various offices within the church.  She also enjoyed her membership in the Red Hat Society.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Billy White Bradshaw.

She is survived by her son, Steve Bradshaw and wife Mary of Vale; daughter, Kim Bradshaw of Vale; grandson, Billy Bradshaw of Vale; and two brothers, Charles Lutz and wife Wanda of Lincolnton and Howard Lutz and wife Juanita of Kings Mountain.

Visitation; 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, November 6, 2013, at Stamey Funeral Home, Fallston and one hour prior to the service on Thurday, November 7, 2013, at Ebenezer United Methodist Church. Condolences may be made online at

Funeral Services; 3:00 p.m., Thursday, November 7, 2013, at Ebenezer United Methodist Church, Vale.

Officiating; Rev. Tony Sayer and Rev. David McCulla.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Brashaws pallbearers will be Wayne Bradshaw, Wesley Bradshaw, Alan Lutz, Bryan Lutz, Walter VanHorne and Steve Brittain; and honorary pallbearers will be her Sunday school class and Ebenezer United Methodist Women.
