SHELBY- Helen McSwain Millsaps, 93, a resident of Brookdale Senior Living, passed away Friday November 6, 2015 at Wendover Hospice. A native of Cleveland County, she was the daughter of the late Burton and Ocie Bell McSwain. She was a member of Shelby Free Will Baptist Church, where she was a greater for many years, and always with a smile. She adored her friends at Brookdale Senior Living where she lived, but most of all, she loved her Savior and Lord Jesus Christ above anyone else.

PRECEDED: In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Millsaps; two brothers, Roy and Bill McSwain; four sisters, Ruth Davidson, Margaret Hedspeth, and infants, Gertrude and Mildred.

SURVIVED: She is survived by her son, Danny Millsaps; daughter, Jackie Gantt and husband Phil all of Shelby; sister, Faye Hall and husband Johnny of Gastonia; brothers, Johnny McSwain and wife Andrea, and Ray McSwain all of Shelby; a special grandson who was the apple of her eye, Ben Gantt of Shelby; and many Nieces and nephews.

SERVICES: A memorial service will be held Monday evening at 6 pm at Clay- Barnette Funeral Home of Shelby.

VISITATION: The family will receive friends after the service as attendees exit the service.

CLERGY: Rev. Mike Carper will officiate

MEMORIALS: Memorial may be made in lieu of flowers to Hospice of Cleveland County, 951 Wendover Heights Drive, Shelby, NC 28150
