Mrs. Helen Yarbro Sipes, 72, resident of 453 Range Road, Kings Mountain, NC, passed away Tuesday, November 23, 2010. Services were held at Ollie Harris Memorial Chapel, Kings Mountain, NC. Burial followed in Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery, Kings Mountain, NC.
Mrs. Sipes was preceded in death by her parents, John Edward and Sarah Vela Herndon Yarbro; and 1 sister, Carrie Patterson.
She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Garland Sipes of Kings Mountain, NC; 1 son, Charlie Sipes and wife Susan of Kings Mtn., NC; 1 daughter, Jennifer Laye and husband Greg of Kings Mtn., NC; 4 brothers, Ed Yarbro, John Yarbro, W.A. Yarbro, and George Yarbro, all of Kings Mountain, NC; 1 sister, Julia Huffstetler of Kings Mountain, NC; and 5 grandchildren.
