Mr. Herman Jones, of Green Acres Road, Cliffside, died on Monday, June 4, 2018. He was the husband of the late Lillie Mae Jones and was the son of the late Herman M. Jones, Sr. and Connie Scruggs Jones. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. He was a member of the Cliffside Masonic Lodge #460, where he was a Past Master. He was a former member of the Rutherford County Rescue #13.

He is survived by a son, Michael Jones (Sherri) of Charlotte; two daughters, Diane Pye (Russell) of Shiloh; Kay Rhoads (Eric) of Rutherfordton; a brother, Barry Jones (Frances) of Cliffside a sister, Ruth Ruppe (John E.) of Gaffney; and by eight grandchildren, James Splawn (Joeli), John Splawn (Allison), Joe Splawn (Brittany), Alicia Revels (Mark), Jeremy Parker (Shannan), Dexter Bridges, Megan Thibodeaux (Ron), Erin Jones and 13 great-grandchildren Zachory, Haidyn, Adam, Mckiah, and Callan Splawn, Zant, JC, and Ervin Parker, Colton Revels, Kathleen and Charles Thibodeaux, Alex and Brooklyn Bridges. In addition to his wife, he is predeceased by two brothers, Walter Jones, Eugene Raeford, two sisters Evelyn Martin and Melvina Humphries.

Funeral services will be held 3:00 P.M., Thursday, June 7, 2018 at Calvary Baptist Church, officiated by the Rev. Tim Frashire and Rev. Ernie Cole. Final resting place will follow in Prospect Baptist Church Cemetery.

Family will receive friends on Wednesday June 6, 2018 from 6:00 PM till 8:00 PM at Eggers Funeral Home Cliffside

The family will be at the home of Diana Pye.
