Herman Thomas Tallent

Herman Thomas Tallent age 73, passed away on Saturday, October 18, 2014 at Cleveland Regional Medical Center. Born in Cleveland County on December 10, 1940 he was the son of the late Michael Sousson and Johnnie Moore Tallent. He served his country in the U. S. Army during Vietnam Conflict and retired from Curtiss-Wright after 15 years of service. In addition to his parents, Tommy is preceded in death by a brother, J. M. Tallent; and two sisters, Ruby Skinner and Shirley Allen.

 

Tommy is survived by his sons, Michael A. Tallent and wife Jannie of Cherryville, Charles Roebuck and wife Niki of Aubrey, Texas, and Clayton Roebuck of Boiling Springs; two sisters, Faye Grant and Ruth Grant; five grandchildren, Alex Tallent, Arizona Tallent, Travis Roebuck, Mackenzie Roebuck, and Alex Roebuck; and former wife and friends, Patricia and Robert Hamrick of Boiling Springs.

 

Memorial service will be held on Thursday, October, 23, 2014 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home and Crematory with military honors. Rev. David Miner will be officiating. The family will receive friends following the service and other times at the home of Michael and Jannie, 604 Leeward Ct. Cherryville.
