Holiday Bazaar
What better way to kick-off the holiday season than by getting a head start on your holiday shopping at the Council on Aging/Senior Center’s annual Holiday Bazaar?

The bazaar vendors have lots of homemade and handmade items as well as new seasonal merchandise that we’re sure will please.   The Senior Center is confident that you will find unique gifts and treasures for all ages amongst the handiwork on display.

The 2010 Holiday Bazaar will be held, Friday, November 5th from 8:00 am – 3:00 pm in the Dover Wing of the Center at 100 TR Harris Drive, Shelby.  The Senior Center’s world famous, humungous country ham biscuits, along with livermush and plain biscuits will also be for sale.  These biscuits are so good they go faster than you can say “biscuits,” so come early and stay late.  Persons interested in purchasing ham, livermush or plain biscuits in bulk need to contact Mary Hamrick at the Center (704-482-3488) by 5:00 pm on November 2nd.  Biscuits will be $2.50 for country ham, $2.00 for the livermush or $1.00 for plain or with butter and jelly.

Pinto Plates will be on sale at a cost of $6.00 for lunch on Friday between the hours of 11:00 am – 2:00 pm and will include:  pinto beans, slaw, turnip greens, cornbread and beverage.  Take out plates are available.

Shoppers, visitors and vendors alike will have the opportunity to purchase raffle tickets for a homemade, afghan, holiday/seasonal cake and a beautiful holiday basket.  Tickets for the raffles are $1.00 each for the afghan and basket; cake tickets will be 3 for $1.00 or 50¢ each.  You do not have to be present to win any of the raffles.

Please plan to join us for lots of fun and great food while you “shop till you drop” at the annual Holiday Bazaar at the Neal Senior Center, Nov 5, 2010.
