Horace Dean Ledbetter
Blacksburg -- Horace Dean Ledbetter, 76, of 189 Bedford Road, passed away Tuesday, September 9th, 2014, at his residence.

Born in Gaffney, he was the husband of Tommie Wylie Ledbetter and the son of the late Dennis Ledbetter and Leona Gordon Ledbetter. Mr. Ledbetter retired as a bailer house operator and was a member of Buffalo Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the US Army.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Ledbetter is survived by three sons, Darren Ledbetter Sr. and Jerry Ledbetter of Blacksburg, and Larry Moss of Gaffney; one daughter, Viola (Boggie) Mullinax of Blacksburg; two brothers, Carl Ledbetter of Cowpens and Dan Ledbetter of Gaffney; three sisters, Doris Cobb of Anderson, Sadie Butler of Gaffney, and Rosetta McDaniel of Casar, NC; five grandchildren, Adam Mullinax of Gaffney, Matthew Mullinax of Blacksburg, Darren Ledbetter, Jr. of Clemson, Tylor Ledbetter of Blacksburg, Ashlie Ledbetter of Gaffney; and two great-grandchildren, Melaina Mullinax of York, and Kimrie Ledbetter of Blacksburg. 

He was preceded in death by brothers Archie, Dennis, and JR (Bud) Ledbetter; sisters Ettress White, Margie Childers, and Sandra White; half-brothers Garland, Haskell, and Niles Ledbetter and half-sister, Helen Davis. 

The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 11th, 2014, from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Gordon Mortuary. Graveside services will be held Friday, September 12th, 2014 at 1:00 pm at Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Henry Guyton and Rev. Lucky Earls officiating. Interment will follow at Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery. Adam Mullinax, Matthew Mullinax, Darren Ledbetter, Jr., Tylor Ledbetter, Tim Wylie, Charles Edward (Buckwheat) Martin will serve as pallbearers.

The family will be at the residence.
