Mr. Horace Hudson, Jr., 85, of 102 Guffey Street, went to
church in Heaven on Sunday morning February 15, 2015 at 10:38am.

Horace was born in Cleveland County, NC on December 22, 1928 one of 16
children born to Cohen Hudson and Anner Chapman Hudson. He retired as a
card grinder from Doran Textiles. Horace was a member of Hudson Memorial
Baptist Church in Lawndale where he was the first deacon of the church and
served for 20 years. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and
brother and was a friend to all and will be missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years,
Peggy Collins Hudson.

Survivors include three sons and two daughters-in-law, Danny Hudson, Jimmy
Hudson and Shelby all of Cherryville and Kenny Hudson and Rhonda of Stanley;
two daughters and a son-in-law, Pam Hudson of Cherryville and Kathy Gann and
Ronnie of Smyrna, SC. 19 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 13 great
great granchildren. Horace is also survived by several brothers and
sisters.

The family wishes to extend a special thanks to Gaston Hospice and friends
for all of their care and support.

Visitation will be on Thursday, February 19, 2015 from 2:45 to 3:45PM at
Hudson Memorial Baptist Church and at other times the family will be at the
home.

Funeral Services will be held at 4:00PM on Thursday, February 19, 2015 with
the Revs. Jerry Hudson, Ronnie Brogdon and Sherman Branch officiating.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
