Mr. Sain served his country in the US Army during WWII. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Edward Sain and Ila Pruitt Sain; two brothers, Fred and Avery Sain and two sisters, Nellie and Minnie Sain.

He is survived by one daughter, Joyce Phillips of Hickory; 4 brothers, Ray Sain of Hickory; Everette Sain of Valdese; Billy Sain of Lincolnton; and Forrest Sain of Iron Station; two sisters, Mary Sain Lail of Hickory and Lois Sain Cook of Vale; 3 grandchildren 5 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren and former wife and very good friend, Thelma King Sain.

Memorials may be made to the donors choice.
