Blacksburg - Howard Lee Thompson Jr., of Fridy Street Apartments, passed away on Thursday, January 8th, 2026 at his residence.

Born in Gaffney, he was the son of Gladys Willie Lee Hambric McCluney and the late Howard Lee Thompson Sr.

In addition to his mother, Mr. Thompson is survived by his son, Devin Thompson, and his sisters, Claudia Wilson and Peggy L. Watts; two nieces, two nephews, and one great-nephew.
