Howard Stafford Gedeist, Jr., 78, of 104 Oak Street, Fallston, died
Wednesday, March 7, 2012 at Cleveland Regional Medical Center in Shelby.
Born January 5, 1934 in Chester County, SC to the late Howard Stafford
Gedeist, Sr. and Ruth McAbee Gedeist. He worked as a superintendent for
Republic Construction. Mr. Gedeist was a member of Abundant Life Church of
God in Shelby and was a Mason and Shriner while in SC.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter, Carol
Causey and a step-son, Rick Strange.
Mr. Gedeist is survived by his wife, Norma Smith Gedeist; two sons, Howard
Stafford Gedeist, III of SC and Tony Gedeist of Zephyr Hills, FL;
stepdaughter, Gayla Kerley and husband, Richard of Kings Mountain; brother,
Craig Gedeist of Gualala, CA; sister, Karen Tutwiler of Melbourne, Fl; seven
grandchildren, Anthony Causey, Anna Causey, Scott and Ryan Gedeist, Phillip
Kerley, Patricia Murphy and Jonathan Strange and six great-grandchildren.
Vistiation: 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, Friday at Stamey Funeral Home, Fallston.
Funeral Service: 3:00 PM, Friday at Stamey Funeral Home Chapel, Fallston.
Officiating: Rev. Kelly Dodson
Burial: Rose Hill Memorial Park, Fallston
