Hubert was born February 22, 1936 in Rutherford County, NC to the late Ronald Bridges and Ethel Crowe Bridges.  He owned and operated Bridges Guttering for many years and Hills Creek Rugs.  He was an avid fisherman and a Baptist.

     In addition to parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Willa Bridges and two brothers, John Bridges and Gene Bridges.

     Survivors include one son; Algie Templeton of Hannibal, MO; one grandson, Jerry Templeton and wife, Amber of Forest City; one brother, William Faye Bridges of Shelby; four sisters, Norma Jane Harrill of Gaffney, SC, Edith Bailey, Evelyn Camp both of Earl, NC, Nance Boone of Thomasville, NC and Rita Bridges also of Shelby.

     No formal services are planned.  He is also survived by two great grandsons, Matthew Templeton and James Templeton.
