Hubert Patton "Pat" Ross, 77, of Lawndale, passed away on Wednesday, March 29th, 2023 at his residence.

Pat was born January 5, 1946 in Gaston County to the late George W. Ross and Ada Fields Ross. He was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church and was a retired machinist with JEMCO Inc.

Pat, who loved the Lord, was a man of family values who never met a stranger. Throughout his life, Pat was an avid collector of a wide variety of music. He was instrumental in the building of the Waldensian Trail of Faith and an active member of his community.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his first wife, Frances Ross, and 10 brothers and sisters.

Those left to cherish his memory are wife, Nancy Hunt-Ross, three daughters; Patricia Welch and husband Chris of Rhodhiss, Connie Bess and husband Randy of Connelly Springs, Jennifer Ross and Steven of Connelly Springs; six grandchildren, Joshua Price, Kali Clark and husband Larry, Julie Welch, Cameron Bryson, Aaron Welch and Le'Vaeh Bryson and two great grandchildren, Westin Clark and Taytum Clark. Also surviving is a sister, Laura Christopher and husband Wayne, and a brother, Archie Ross and wife Shelia.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 3, 2023 at 3:00 PM in the Chapel of Heritage Funeral Service with Rev. Lloyd Hunt and Rev. Rick Crouse officiating. Interment will follow at Calvary Memorial Gardens in Connelly Springs.

The family will receive friends on Monday, from 1:00 until 3:00 P.M. at Heritage Funeral Service in Valdese.
