Ina Faye Ledford Bivins

Mrs. Ina Faye Ledford Bivins, 90, of Shelby, NC, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, July 24, 2016 at Wendover Hospice House.


She is survived by a son, Steven Bivins and wife Phyllis of Mooresboro, NC, a daughter, Wanda Huskey and husband Dewey of Blacksburg, SC, grandchildren, Denise McKee and husband Richard of Mooresboro, NC, and Vance Bridges and wife Lorri of Shelby, NC, a great grandson, Brian McGill of Mooresboro, NC, a brother, Cecil Ledford and wife Coleen of Shelby, NC, and a number of nieces and nephews.


Born November 23, 1925 in Cleveland County, Mrs. Bivins was the daughter of the late Marvin Ledford and Vernie Estelle Black Ledford and was preceded in death by her husband, G.W. Bivins, a granddaughter, Christy Bivins, and a sister, Shirley Myers.


Mrs. Bivins loved her Lord. She was a faithful member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church where she was a member of the Ladies Bible Class. She enjoyed cooking, baking, quilting, shopping. Ina especially enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She will be missed by those that knew her.


Funeral services will be held 12:30 pm Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at Poplar Springs Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Andy Oliver and Rev. Mike Frazier. A visitation will be held from 11:00 - 12:00 pm prior to the service in the Family Life Center. A private burial will follow at Cleveland Memorial Park.


In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Poplar Springs Baptist Church Building Fund, 1106 Poplar Springs Church Road, Shelby NC 28152.
