Mrs. Inez Ware Eskew, age 96 of Shelby, NC, passed away Thursday, June 12, 2014 at Cleveland Regional Medical Center.  Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 14, 2014 at Cleveland Funeral Services & Crematory Chapel conducted by the Rev. John Ware and Rev. David Costner.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.  Burial will follow at Cleveland Memorial Park in Shelby.

   She is survived by a daughter, Linda Whitesides of Shelby, NC, three grandchildren, Rusty Eskew and wife Gay of Shelby, NC, Chan Whitesides and wife Myra of Shelby, NC, and Renae King and husband James of Shelby, NC, seven great grandchildren, Kaitlyn Middlebrooks, Jake Whitesides, Jordan Whitesides, Josh Eskew, Jordan King, Alan King, and Aaron King, two great great grandchildren, Sofie Middlebrooks and McKinley Middlebrooks and numerous nieces and nephews.

   Born May 20, 1918 in Kings Mountain, NC, Mrs. Eskew was the daughter of the late T.B. and Maggie McDaniel Ware and was preceded in death by her husband Earl Eskew, a son, Tom Eskew, a grandson, David Whitesides, nine brothers, J.D. Ware, Buford Ware, Horace Ware, Woodrow Ware, Maynard Ware, George Ware, Gene Ware, Charles Ware, and Marshall Ware, a sister, Delta Humphries, a daughter-in-law, Betty Eskew, and a son-in-law, Marshall Whitesides.  Mrs. Eskew graduated from Number 3 High School in Earl, NC.  Inez was a lifelong member of the Zoar Baptist Church in Shelby.  As a NC State basketball fan, she spent many hours watching her team compete in the ACC.  Mrs. Eskew enjoyed gardening, canning, sewing, cooking, and spending time with her family and friends.

   In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Westwood Heights Baptist Church Building Fund, 650 Dellinger Rd, Shelby, NC 28152.
