J.C. Cook, 92, of 119 Butterfield Lane, Lincolnton, passed away Saturday,
June 6, 2015 at Lincolnton Rehabilitation Center in Lincolnton.

He was born in Cleveland County on May 5, 1923, to the late John Wesley Cook
and Mary Lee White Cook. He was a retired farmer and former truck driver.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife Edna Towery
Cook; and four brothers, Everette, Wilbert, Earl and Roy Cook.

He is survived by his three sons, James Cook, Jr of Santee, SC, Wayne Cook
of Cherryville, and Tony Cook of Cherryville; three daughters, Betty Mellon
of Vale, Patsy Buchanan of Lawndale, and Candace Cook of Grover; brother,
Ralph Cook of Golden Valley; thirteen grandchildren, twenty great
grandchildren, and numerous great great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 3:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. at
Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Fallston. At other times
the family will be at the home of Betty Mellon, 1152 Wehunt Store Road,

A memorial service will be at 4:00 P.M. on Tuesday at Stamey-Tysinger
Funeral Home & Cremation Center Chapel with the Rev. Bob Wise officiating.
