Jack Cannon Stephens
Jack Cannon Stephens, 76, of 115 London Street, passed away Thursday, December 19th, 2013, at Novant Health Gaffney Medical Center.

Born in Camden, he was married to Cherry Stephens of the home and was the son of the late David Lamond Stephens Sr. and Polly Marie Stephens. He worked as an associate at Wal-Mart, was the former owner of The Blacksburg Market, and was a member of St. John United Methodist Church. Mr. Stephens was also a veteran of the United States Army.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Stephens is survived by one daughter, Frances Marie Stephens, of Blacksburg; one grandson, Hayden Adair Stephens; two nephews, Chris Stephens and wife, Jessie, of Blacksburg and Eric Stephens of Spartanburg; and one sister-in-law, Jo Ann Stephens.

The family will receive friends Sunday, December 22nd, 2013, from 4:00 pm -5:30 pm at Gordon Mortuary. Funeral services will he held Monday, December 23rd, at 2:00 pm at St. John United Methodist Church with Rev. Don Boshell officiating. Interment will follow at Clingman Memorial Gardens. Jerry Parker, Chris Stephens, Eric Stephens, Richard Hope, David Hogue, and Albert Peterson will serve as pallbearers.

Memorials may be made to St. John's United Methodist Church, 105 South Rutherford Street, Blacksburg, SC 29702.

The family will be at the residence.
