Mr. Jack Edgar Lee, 75, of 1327 W Stagecoach Trail passed away
Friday, May 16, 2013 at Wendover.
Born in Cleveland County, he was a son of the late Robert Henry Lee and
Katherine Elizabeth Tucker Lee. A lifetime member of Palm Tree United
Methodist Church, he was a member of the Chancel Choir and Men's Chorus and
served in multiple other capacities. Jack was an avid outdoorsman and
passionate hunter. He retired as a mechanic from Fiber Industries in Earl.
After retiring at fifty-eight, he worked tirelessly in his community helping
others. Most recently he worked as a volunteer at the UCAN food pantry in
Lawndale and also donated his time and acreage to the Cleveland County
Potato Project.
A loving husband, father and papaw, he is survived by his wife of
fifty-eight years, Shirley Costner Lee; three sons and daughter-in-law, Mark
and Lisa Lee of Fallston, Todd Lee and Gary Lee both of Lawndale ;
grandchildren, Brittany Lee, Robert Lee, Brandon Lee, Cailla Lee, Megan Lee
and Mary Lee; brother, Jerry Lee and wife Sally of Lawndale;
brother-in-law, Jerry Costner and wife Janette of Taylors, SC; four nephews;
a niece and numerous cousins.
Visitation: The family will recieve friends from 5 until 7 PM, Sunday, at
Stamey Funeral Home in Fallston.
Funeral: 2 PM, Monday, Palm Tree United Methodist Church.
The body will be placed in the church thirty minutes prior to the service.
