Jack Osborne Evans, 82, went home to be with the Lord, Monday, February 22nd, at Cherokee Medical Center, SC. A native of Cleveland, NC, he was the son of the late Noble and Dorcus Leigh Evans and husband of the late Joan H. Evans. Jack was retired from Daniels Construction. He was a member of the Buffalo Lodge. Jack also attended Gaffney Freewill Baptist Church. Jack loved his family and has many friends who will miss him greatly.
He is survived by daughters Connie E. Gibson, Blacksburg, SC and Stephanie E. Fowler, Atlanta, GA, as well as a daughter in law, Misty Evans. His grandchildren include, Shannon Guyton and Emily Gibson, Gaffney, SC, Sydney Fowler, Atlanta, GA, and Chad Evans, Jordan Evans and Kaitlyn Evans, Blacksburg, SC. In addition to his grandchildren, he was proud of his great grandchildren, Jackson Guyton, Gracie Guyton, Natalie Gibson and Lynnox Evans. He is also survived by his brother, George Ray Evans, Blacksburg, SC.
Along with his parents and wife, he was predeceased by his son, John P. Evans, grandson, Jeremy Evans, brother, Jerry Evans and sister, Marie Galloway.
The family will receive friends Thursday, February 25, 2021, 6:00-8:00pm at White Columns Funeral Service. We do ask that masks be worn and social distancing be observed.
