Jackie Albert “Jack” Rhyne

Jackie Albert “Jack” Rhyne, 78, of 2833 West Hwy 150, passed away on Monday, July 15, 2013 at Kindred Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Lincolnton.

Jack was born in Gaston County, NC on May 7, 1935 a son of the late Everette Rhyne and Lucy Thornburg Rhyne. He was a longtime member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church of Crouse and one of the original organizers of the Crouse Volunteer Fire Department serving as Chief for a number of years.  For several years Jack worked in textiles and later worked and retired as a wrecker driver from Town Square Ford in Lincolnton.

In addition to his parents Jack was preceded in death by his wife, Ann McGinnis Rhyne and a sister, Irma L. Rhyne.

Survivors include a daughter, Teresa A. Rhyne of Lincolnton; one brother, William “Bill” Rhyne and wife Mildred of Charlotte; also surviving is a number of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be on Thursday, July 18, 2013 from 1:45 until 2:45PM at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Crouse.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, July 18, 2013 at 3:00PM at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Crouse with the Rev. Rick Sloop officiating.

Burial will be at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church Cemetery.
